April showers bring…big fish in the boat? That’s the saying, isn’t it? Well, close enough. April brings with it some bowfishing opportunities that no other months can offer. Down south, many states will experience the spawn. We always make our way south during the month of April to take advantage of the buff spawn. We have had great luck doing so, as a couple years back, a fellow coworker here at AMS was able to film himself shooting the (at the time) Kentucky state record buffalo. Weighing in at 87 lbs., the month of April will always hold a special place in our hearts. Bowfishing tournaments are also gaining traction during this time of year. These tournaments will attract bowfishers from all over the US who all have hopes of winning some prize money on tournament night.
